Guest Max Stafford
I'm currently restoring what had been a very roughly treated Bachmann Fairburn. It is missing the cab steps which aren't available as a Bachmann spare. A Google search has proved unsuccessful so does anyone know if an etching exists for this feature? Thanks. Dave. coachmann
T'wer me, it would be a simple bend and solder job with a flat plate on top for glueing under the Bachmann Fairburn.
Mike G
Don't Comet do something? I know they do Stannier and GWR steps...just a thought. Mike
Guest stuartp
The Comet steps are fine for the Fairburn front steps and all the Ivatt steps, but the Fairburn cab steps are wider. I'm with Coach on this, flat brass strip / fret waste and singed fingers I'm afraid.
Guest Max Stafford
Cheers lads. Home fabrication it is then. Better fish out some relative dimensions! Dave.
