0121modeller
The cable runs for hydraulics on crane arms were made from Evergreen #219- that's 0.64 styrene rod, the centre item gently bent to shape as to curve over joining crane arms, The cable assembly's were coloured black with a permanent ink felt pen, then tacked in place. The model now completed, having a choice of either raised cab or lowered cab, for its layout role. I made a little modification by adding some 'tread plate' from Slaters Plasticard. Above; alongside my scratchbuilt grapple crane. Cheers, Dave.

0121modeller
Thanks Hammy, A couple more photo's of the completed model; The modifications are quite apparent compared to how the kit is seen built on the box & I think a big improvement. The model I've built can pose in either raised or lowered operators cab position, based on reference photo's I've used.
naturol
Following our brief meeting at a recent show in Birmingham I must say the level of modelling is first class, and you sold yourself short when you described what you had built. Brilliant, will look out to see them displayed. Was inspired to look for some donor cararama trucks but they are like rocking horse dung. All the best to you. Paul.
