Alan Kettlewell
Grateful for any leads on where to buy LMS & LNER sprung buffers for coaches please, late grouping or early BR period. I prefer those with the small spring inside, nut on the back of the shaft if possible. Many thanks Regards Alan
Mike
SideLines produce both LMS and LNER coach buffers http://www.sidelines.freeserve.co.uk/ if that helps. Mike

David Siddall
Would second Steve's Invertrains recommendation... ordered some replacement Hayward buffers for my Hymek from them, delivered with 48 hours and look to use exactly the construction technique you're describing Alan. N15class
I don't know if Northants Model Railway Supplies would have what you are looking for?
Alan Kettlewell
Thank you for all your replies. The Haywood buffers from Invertrains look exactly what I need and I'll be calling them today to order some. I tried Sidelines but theirs are not the sprung type, to spring their type you have to solder a piece of piano wire across through the back of the coupling hook behind the buffer beam. Whilst this method works as I've done a couple like this on Conniousseurs brass kits, it's not ideal for the kits I'm currently making which are plastic kits from Ian Kirk. Peter, I'll have a browse on Northants site and keep this in mind should I not get what I need from Invertrains, thank you for your suggestion. Many thanks Regards Alan
