jimikelly Posted May 16, 2012 Author Share Posted May 16, 2012 Hi again , I had a look at the article in the Model Rail 168 ,but it didn't have any information regarding how to make them open and close eclectically,this is what I need to know ,how do I do it with motors and switches..does anyone have any information on how do this . Guest Posted May 16, 2012 Share Posted May 16, 2012 Here's a few pics of a mechanism I made ages ago, the idea of which came from some railway magazine. The mechanism is designed for two gate operation were one gate moves to the required position, stops, and then the second gate moves, stops. The scalpel in one of the pics, points to where the gate would be attached. Another possibility would be to use two motors and micro switches and probably do away with the mechanism which was a lot of hard work.
