Rugd1022
I previously thought I'd lost or possibly deleted most of the photos I took on this highly enjoyable run from Birmingham Moor St to Paddington some eighteen months ago, but having rediscovered them this afternoon I thought I'd bung a selection on here. It was certainly a memorable trip, with Pannier 9600 bringing the stock into Moor St from Tyseley ready for Castle 5043 to take us to London via the classic GWR route through Leamington, Banbury, Oxford, Didcot and Reading... sitting in an open Mk2 coach with the window vents open, the music from up front was fantastic, and the three and a bit hours in London allowed me to have another poke around the familair nooks and crannies of of Paddington itself... the general air of GWR / WR still pervades, despite the shiny floors and modern fittings scattered around the place.... (annoyingly, most of the original colour files have vanished from the hard drive, hence the abundance of b&w ones)

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted May 21, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 21, 2012 Nice stuff Nidge - like the last one in particular as it definitely has a bit of the old Paddington atmosphere about it.
