Mrkirtley800
Admittedly, not exactly Settle - Carlisle, but here are a couple of pics taken in about 1958 of Grassington. If anyone is looking for a country branch line to model, you can't go very wrong with Grassington. I made a model some years ago and found it pleasant, if untaxing to operate for many hours. Like many country stations, to model it exactly would require about 19 feet by 4 feet, but it can be shortened without losing any shunting fun. The station pic shows the usual Midland signals plus a water tank on the end of the platform. RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted July 6, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 6, 2012 What nice photos, they show the detail off well. The one of the main building is not the common view seen.
RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted July 6, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 6, 2012 Not S&C, but with its location, it could well have been. Interesting photos MrK! Jeff
