Original Bulleid Merchant Navy :Unrebuilt.

It seems that Bachmann, in the form of its N gauge Graham Farish brand, certainly think that there is a market for an Original 'Merchant Navy'. Since Hornby seem to be steadfastly ignoring the possibility, is it possible that Bachmann will reverse their usual practise of making 2mm versions of their 4mm models and produce an MN in 4mm? Let's hope so!

Given the usual pre-requisites for potential models:

1. Large

2. Express

3. Named

4. Room for DCC sound

5. Large number of variants for flexible production

The original Merchant Navy should be at the forefront of Hornby's list moreover the commonality of existing component should make it a shoe-in. However let us hope that Hornby address the need for an S15 and 700 before the MN.

Simon Kohler (Hornby Marketing Manager):

"######! Farish have announced an Original Bulleid Merchant Navy."

"The ###### are probably planning on doing one in 4mm too!"

"Better get our computer guys to mock one up for our next catalogue."

"We'll release it in 2014."

David Haarhaus (Bachmann Marketing Manager):

"Let's wait and see what Hornby announce for next year."

"If they don't then lets get our computer guys to mock one up for our next catalogue.'

"We'll release it in 2014."

Wow, tough filters on this forum! You can't even say ######! or ######! And my ###### mum says them all the time!
