awwalker
Hi all As an interim project to quickly complete while doing eyemouth which I am in the process of building, I was looking to do an urban scene based around the 70s in Glasgow. I was told that Ian futers Newcastle n.b would be right up my street on terms of providing some good reference material . I am having trouble finding images of this layout online so I was wondering if anybody has any or could point in the direction of some? Cheers Andrew
br2975
Ian's layout was actually called "Newcastle Haymarket" . Perhaps a search using those details may prove useful ? . I recall it featured in a pull out in a very old edition of 'Rail' (or Rail Enthusiast) in the days before it became a 'house magazine' for the rail industry. awwalker
Brian. Cheers for the input. As far as I know Newcastle haymarket was a P4 layout and then Newcastle NB ( or north British ) was the same track plan as haymarket but was in 7mm. It was also set in a cutting with retaining walls as opposed to haymarkets elevated setting. I've seen plenty of images of the pat seale's reworking of haymarket but n.b seems to be elusive image wise. Andrew
