Newcastle n.b - photos required

Recommended Posts

Hi all

As an interim project to quickly complete while doing eyemouth which I am in the process of building, I was looking to do an urban scene based around the 70s in Glasgow. I was told that Ian futers Newcastle n.b would be right up my street on terms of providing some good reference material . I am having trouble finding images of this layout online so I was wondering if anybody has any or could point in the direction of some?

Cheers

Ian's layout was actually called "Newcastle Haymarket"

.

Perhaps a search using those details may prove useful ?

.

I recall it featured in a pull out in a very old edition of 'Rail' (or Rail Enthusiast) in the days before it became a 'house magazine' for the rail industry.

Brian. Cheers for the input.

As far as I know Newcastle haymarket was a P4 layout and then Newcastle NB ( or north British ) was the same track plan as haymarket but was in 7mm. It was also set in a cutting with retaining walls as opposed to haymarkets elevated setting. I've seen plenty of images of the pat seale's reworking of haymarket but n.b seems to be elusive image wise.
