RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted September 7, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 7, 2012 This was the case with missed connections at Guildford; if the "down Pompey was late, should they hold the Redhill train? no was the answer as that the delayed most of the Brighton Line! Otherwise don't get me going on Daft Things they do on the railways! Today, the Southern train from Reigate to Redhill arrived about 5 minutes late whihc is the connection time for the FCC train. It got into ther platformas the FCC train shut its doors, so everybody off that terminating train that normally just cross the platform for the FCC train stepped off to watch the FCC train pull away!! Quite often The FGW service from Reading to Gatwick, if running late terminates at Redhill - can normally tell when this happens as theres loads of people having to go via the subway to the main down platform with all their suitcases heading for Gatwick.
