2A-Rail
Currently getting back into the hobby after a few years out, DCC was just settling in as I left it. Now with a bit more money and skill to use, I'm glad to be returning at a good time. Really interested in Industrial railways and 3D Printing, so I'll be sure to look into both! RMweb Premium 45156 Posted October 31, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 31, 2012 Welcome aboard Johnny Whatever your interest in our hobby, you'll find it represented here. I was looking at some very interesting 2mm 3D printed van bodies that one of our members produced when we were talking at the members' day in July - very interesting indeed. 2A-Rail
Thanks all, Current interest is Preservation modelling, really can't get my head around why it's not that popular. More or less hoping to build something akin to Beamish but set in the West Midlands, set in the modern day.
Castle
Hi Johnny, Welcome to RMWEB! You will find lots of help, inspiration and camaraderie here. I model the preservation scene (well, sort of) and Matt 'Bluebell Model Railway' Wicks definitely does this very well indeed. Check out our threads some time! All the best, Castle
Boris
Preservation modelling is great, you can get away with doing almost anything and there is an excuse for loads of shunting (its a charter).
RMweb Gold SHMD Posted November 2, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 2, 2012 Hi Johnny and welcome, 3D and DCC - what a combination if you choose to combine the two! But, as you say, most interesting. Kev.
