Possibly the forum has slowed down and hence you may have submitted it twice thinking it had not gone the first time. As regards the editing if you use Full Editor it 'should' work but if your browser is IE there are some known issues with it hence why many use Firefox or Chrome although I accept it isn't always easy to use another browser especially if at work.
