RMweb Gold TravisM Posted November 11, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 11, 2012 I was looking on a TfL site and there were several pictures of a Plasser PU 07-16 Tamping and Lining Machine and it looks similar to Bachmann Spectrum's Self Propelled Ballast Regulor. I know Bachmann's model is in HO scale but can it be used to model a LT version? Julian Sprott
jonhall
The Bachman machine is a Plasser 07-32 Tamper Liner, so yes you could do something with it. Jon

RMweb Gold TravisM Posted November 12, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 12, 2012 Hi Jon, they maybe obvious to you but exhaust's, inside machinery, etc migh be different and tripcocks added, and a repaint into LU livery might be needed. Any help would be nice! Julian Sprott
jonhall
I would think new cabs is the place to start. Jon
RMweb Gold TravisM Posted November 15, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 15, 2012 Hi Jon, I think I will leave it as my modelling is not that good now I have to take medication for my MS. Never mind it would have looked good on my layout. Julian Sprott
stadman
Ad a middle cab, change the tamping baks to represent the P&C tamper LT had. Easier than cuting down main body to tube gauge (TMM's 771-773) See this photo http://www.ontrackplant.com/photo/SC765
