Sorry it just occurred to me the Ultrascale website is a bit confusing and the first time i ordered the worm and gear set i had no idea what i needed. This is a copy of the web page showing the gear set that i use. You can find it by clicking products on the lefthand of the screen about halfway down the page. In the product section find the worm and gear sets and click it. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find this :

I use the type 2 gears that have a flange and a grub screw to grip the axle, pick whatever ratio you want and click on it. On the page for that ratio are 2 drop boxes. Pick your axle size for the brass gear (3/16" for O gauge) and shaft diameter for your worm (2mm for a Mashima 1833 type motor). When you come to fit them the axle gear is self explanatory and the worm pushes on to the motor shaft with some liquid thread lock, just rough up the shaft with some fine grit sandpaper for a key first.

Took me ages to figure it out lol !!!  :sarcastichand:

Cheers, Steve
