How do Peco points relate to the real thing in terms of radii.

Using Peco points, e.g. typical code 75 selection, with radii of 6' 5' 3' etc.,

Would you have found points of this radii, or tighter possibly on the prototype.....with particular reference to the 50's and 60's era.

They don't really bear much resemblence to prototype practice as they have the same crossing angle throughout. Go with the largest size and with careful painting and weathering it'll look like an early FB turonout for mainline practice.
