I've seen them at car boots and the junk boxes at shows for as little as 50p or a pound each so just a thought.

Heh I've got a good few of these in various states of (dis)assembly including one made up from parts bought at a spares stand. I just use them for livery experiments and in conjunction with a pug 0-4-0 to amuse my daughter. For more "serious" things I have a handful of part built Ratio 4 wheelers I got as a job lot for a tenner.
