br-nse-fan
Hi All I was wondering what the mechanism and running quality of a Replica Railways class 45 is? I used to have an old Mainline that was pittiful in terms of the above, but have never owned a Replica loco before. I know it won't be DCC ready, but can anyone comment on the models? Thanks in advance!
SGJ
The motor is the same as the one used in the Mainline model Replica do spares, I havent had a problem chipping a replica 45 ( with light ), I did have a problem with a old mainline one though, SGJ P.S. Replica sells spare motors http://www.replicarailways.co.uk/spares-and-accessories/spares

I was considering an eBay purchase... linky But I guess I'll be saving my pennies for something else!
Guest 40-something
You could look out for the early Bachmann 46's, Im pretty sure the bodyshell was a tweaked Mainline/Replica shell and the chassis was a central motor jobbie, runs great.
