Ponthir28
I don’t think they are talking about pit props. More likely weekend rugby.

phil.c
Pen-y-Bryn Station. Some grass added via Photoshop at the far end of the signal box as this area is empty and unmodelled.
MrWolf
I probably wouldn't have noticed the Photoshop grass had you not pointed it out. I was far too busy being impressed with the lichen on the station roof. I've been experimenting using acrylic artists paint and talcum powder for this, not quite got the courage to apply a little to some of my buildings yet!
RMweb Gold Graham T Posted January 17, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 17, 2022 I'd also be very interested to know what technique was used for the lichen please.
phil.c
The slates were "painted" with a wash of diluted PVA, leaving unpainted areas, then lightly sprinkled with Polyfilla, when dry, blow off the exess powder and paint. 1

MrWolf
Very impressive work. I do like the subtle weathering and the "comb" ridge tiles.

Thanks Phil, seems a very effective technique.
MrWolf
Likewise, I'll give that a go. I think that some of the techniques I've tried for weathering are more suitable for O scale.
