RMweb Gold Phil Bullock Posted February 28, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 28, 2013 Have searched on forums but cant find an answer so any advice welcome please Have problems with Loksound V4 chips and ECoS. If I have Railcom detection enabled the chips dont identify themselves except as a generic Railcom loco Is there a fix for this problem? Do I actually need to have Railcom locos on the loco lists - how do I make it work consistently ? Help please! Cheers Phil
GoingUnderground
You need both Rallcom and Railcom Plus turned on on your ECoS. Also you need ECoS firmware version 3.4.0 or later, you haven;t said which firmware version you have. You also need to have Railcom and Railcom Plus turned on on the decoder. I think they are on by default on Loksound V4s. EDIT: The above assumes that you're talking about the ECoS recognising the Address and Functions automatically under Railcom Plus, rather than just the ECoS recognising that the decoder is a LokSound V4 when you're trying to program the CVs.
