Mike J Posted March 16, 2013 Share Posted March 16, 2013 Hi all, Having recently purchased the etches from N Brass, I thought I'd set about putting the shackles and chains on my n gauge conflat stock, but after hours trawling through my books and web photos there doesn't seem to be a single method of installing and fastening them to the wagon and load. The wagons are the standard Farish and Peco models with 'A' and 'B' containers modified and repainted for 1930s LNER use. The etches have two different parts, one with hooks and tightening springs, the other is chain link. I've seen the excellent work posted on this site, but there do seem to be differing methods of using the etches. So, my question is, was there one method that is deemed correct, or were the chains and shackles used in a multitude of ways that could be considered correct?
