Martin_R
Just seen a reference on todays MRE Mag that someone has had an issue with what appears to be a swollen chassis i.e. body will not fit back on [shades of the Class 47 problem?] I'm going to check mine later today but is anyone else out there seeing a problem with their Class 23? christopher2061
Hi, Yes it's my Baby Deltic. The body came off and went back easily when I fitted the decoder, but was very difficult to remove the other day. Putting the body back has proved impossible and has resulted in damage to the buffer beams and a broken bogie pivot (new part on order). My initial thoughts are to but the body in the airing cupboard for a day or so, to expand it, and to but the chassis (without decoder) in the fridge, so as to contract it slightly. I really dont want to have to file the chassis, so any ideas would be welcome. I've spoken to Howes and they don't recognise the issue and not aware of any known problems with the Baby Deltics. Any suggestions would be welcome
