tiger
Going back to "tiger"s post about the PC swap at Waverley, it's interesting to note that the Mk3 TGS still has buffers fitted, a legacy of running with a 91. Does anyone, out of interest, have any idea when were the buffers removed? Amazing - I never noticed that the TGS had buffers when I took the picture, nor at any time subsequently when I've looked at this photo! I can't remember the numbers of the buffer fitted TGS vehicles although the highest numbered TGS, 44101 was one of them. I think there may have been 10 buffer fitted TGS vehicles, as opposed to 8 DVTs. (Edit - I see from posts below that there were only 8 buffer fitted TGS) In reply to 45125 and BR(S), the sector code for Midland Mainline power cars was IMLP, if I recall correctly. Cheers, Tom.
