GH in EM and O
I have a couple of pentrollers, two panel mounted and one hand (slave) controller. One of the panel mounted controllers has gone wrong. As soon as the direction switch is moved from the centre off position, the loco moves off at top speed, as if the controller knob has been bypassed. Does anyone know if these can be repaired please? stewartingram
If you have a friendly electronics tech, he should be able to repair it by using the good one a s a reference.. Stewart
Gordon H
Depending what has gone wrong, it may or may not be possible to effect a repair as I believe some of the components used in the Pentroller circuit have gone obsolete.
Horsetan
Spray some Servisol switch cleaner spray into the circuit board, and see what happens, maybe? I've got a duff Pentroller, so I'll be giving it a spray. Got nothing to lose: increasing the power only gives a red light!

Spraying the circuit board won't have much effect, but cleaning the control pot might help.
