sir douglas
i got 3 of their "H C Bull" 12 ton wagons for £15 each on their website many many months ago. another large issue worth solving that hasnt been commented on yet are the large screw lugs on the inside that fix the sides & ends to the floor, the sides & ends are not fixed to each other in anyway but are just butted to each other with mitre joints, without the plastic coal load in, the screws are too unsightly to be left in, i took the sides off, cut the lugs off and superglued it all back together, and also filled in the screw holes and lug slots in the floor with a matt black all round inside to the patches not so noticeable. the only other main issues are the brake hangers, i have not yet got round to doing these but back in the autumn someone did a blog entry about replacing the brake gear cant remember who though this post by Ruston gives you a good view of the screw lugs http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/76150-wagon-bashing/
The Bigbee Line
I note the comment regarding superglue. Anyone used a solvent to bond the sides and ends together? Thanks
