DVD's - 100 Years of British Trains/Trams/Buses

For Christmas I had the set of 3 DVD's per Subject Title, I see today they are in the Penzance branch of 'The Works' for ??4.99.

The Trains one probably covers the grouping/nationalisation period well, but for my interest, pre-grouping, that only gets about 5 mins, although (puts Anorak on ohmy.gif ) there is a LNWR Dia 92 Fitted Fruit Van at Blackburn circa 1910, the first known sighting of one of these vans - no other photo's are known to exist - Only 25 were built. It has now been discussed on the LNWRSoc's Forum.

Much more interesting to me was the Trams video, in that a good deal of the filming is before the 1940's and there are plenty of pre-grouping street scenes with horse drawn vans, wagons etc. - I refer to this on another thread (see http://www.rmweb.co....o=new_post&f=30 )

The Buses DVD, is good for post WW2 street scenes, surprising how many buses there are on the Metropolitan area streets at any one time, very few cars.

So at ??4.99, I would say a good buy for background scenic/transport details.
