david65061
Tom That is a great little loco well done, even if the driver needs to clean up his foot plate. Can't wait to see you get started on the fowler. I am interested in how you are going to do the radiator grills in the front curve of the bonnet. regards David

I haven't yet decided how I am going to do the grills on the front and sides of the bonnet, I think I will do the opposite to the Peckett and do the frames first. Twright
I have built a runner wagon for the Peckett (again). I am happy with it this time, and so here are some pictures: It works on the same principle as the last one with 2 wires connecting the loco and wagon. The wagon is the chassis from the insulated van that I made (I didn't like it very much but the body is still intact for the moment). I added the pickups myself and fitted it with metal wheels instead of its plastic ones. The wood is done using some very thin strips of wood I found in a box. An order will be placed with Narrow Planet for some plates (I don't think I will name it so it will just be numbers) but apart from that the Peckett is done so I will concentrate on Stanway Brewery until after the GCSEs when I will then start on 'Mavis' (at the moment a modified class 03 chassis may be used for the base as the wheels have the same number of spokes and they are the same size). hornbyandbf3fan
I like the wagon, will you have some coal on it like the Y9's tenders?
Twright
Probably not, though I may add a tool box - I'll have a think though.
Nelson Jackson
Wow, superb wagon, it really does look fantastic, I love the wooden planks and I think a tool box will go well with it, I'll look forward to seeing Mavis and Stanway brewery. SDJR7F88
Amazing work mate! The Peckett running better now?
Twright
Thanks all. The Peckett does run better now and as I left the wires between them longer than before so it can go round tighter radius curves (the tightest it could do before was 3rd radius). Twright
Sorry for the lack of updates - I've had a lot of work recently. I am considering the possibility of using a 3D printed chassis for Mavis so I don't have the problems of getting it to line up and breaking. I will still make the body out of plastic card though so that the curves can be incorporated easily. However the Fowler may become available as a complete article in 3D in the future, either from myself of from Zane (69843) who does 3D printing much better than me and also inspired the starting of this. As practice I have started on designing an 0-4-0 Pannier tank design based on standard GWR design. This will (if successful) be used on Stanway Brewery as a GWR era loco). The progress I have made on it so far is below (all on Sketch-up): And some detail in the cab: The size for the body hasn't been decided on yet and so the chassis hasn't been made. At the moment it is based on an alternative base for the standard Hornby 0-4-0 chassis - below.
Twright
Hi all I have added the cab window bars and extended it so that both the 0-4-0 and the 16xx cab be made from it Is there much interest in either of these as to whether I put them for sale? I have also ordered the Peckett's plates from Narrow Planet.
Frappington Jct
Looks good. An 0-4-0 pannier would be interesting, I might have one

Twright
I have moved the 3D Panniers section to here as it doesn't fit in here.
Twright
Mavis's chassis has now be drawn up on Sketch-up. This will be printed when I have done some other models so I can combine postage.
