mullie Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I do agree with the above and do wonder if there is a place to list layouts available for exhibition as it could fulfil two needs that I can think of and I'm sure there are more: People with a layout worthy of exhibition who for a number of reasons do not belong to a club. My work schedule precludes club membership but in the future I would like to build and exhibit a layout, perhaps beginning with some sort of micro as I built in the past with Upbech St Mary. How does a non club member get on the circuit? Clubs with restricted budgets could find local layouts that could be exhibited relatively easily. They could be visited prior to making a commitment and suitable advice from experienced exhibitors could be useful to the aspiring modeller. There could be some real undiscovered gems out there. I'm aware there are time issues here but could a preliminary assessment be made from photographs or a layout thread such as RM Web? Just some thoughts from an aspiring exhibitor.
