edcayton
I caught the start of this film on TV earlier today. It began with a scene at a Southern(?) station with a tunnel near to the end of the platform. I didn't recognise the location and wonder if anyone else knows? The film starred Timothy Spall and Maggie Smith if that helps at all. Thanks Ed PS- Mods, if you think this is better in prototype questions can you move it please? edcayton
Yes-From Time to Time. Ed Just checked, it was on ITV
Highlandman
It appears to be Medstead & Four Marks station on the Mid-Hants Railway in Hampshire. What appears to be a tunnel is a cutting heading to Alton.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 18, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 18, 2013 Found after a quick Google: "Anachronisms : Modern concrete sleepers and rail fixings are seen during the scene at the railway station set in 1944."
