EddieB
A Grand Prix circuit with a preserved steam locomotive. Here is 835.047 displayed at Monza Autodromo (image from 1981, but to the best of knowledge, it's still there). Maybe something of interest if tomorrow's race turns into a boring procession behind Sebastian Vettel.
A_S
Where abouts on the circuit is it? I was last at Monza for the LMS in 2007 (sounds a long time ago now...!) and I didnt see it
EddieB
After all this time (I haven't been back to Monza since that 1981 visit) I can't be sure. As far as I can remember, we stayed at the campsite there (no races) and the loco was in the trees at the edge of the camp site, which I think in turn was behind the grandstand on outside of the pit straight. According this http://www.panoramio.com/photo/89782631 and this http://www.monzanet.it/en/show/782/Virtual%20Tour%20-%20EN it looks as though the whole train has been refurbished and relocated in the infield http://goo.gl/maps/qkcI8. (I can't see it from the satellite views on Google Maps, but it is present on the StreetView besides the Old Garages, so it might have been away being refurbished in 2007).
