Marshall5
It might be worth having a word with Premier Components - he has a wide range of coupling rods. Ray.
Guest Isambarduk
"... the coupling rods which like everything else were plastic are not any bright ideas about replacing these would be appreciated." No need to replace them; they are fine mouldings and they are only ever in tension or compression so they will not bend in work. See here: www.davidlosmith.co.uk/HunsletAiredale.htm where I say: " I removed the coupling rods, drilled out all the integrally moulded crankpins and bushed the holes. I plugged the holes in the crank bosses in the wheels and drilled and tapped them 12BA to accept my standard crankpin arrangement of 12BA screws, tophat bushes and 14BA nuts opened up to 12BA. Thus, I have achieved robust metal crankpin bearings whilst retaining the excellent moulded coupling rods. "OK, you may not choose to do things this way but the coupling rods themselves are fine IMHO. David David
