Nicktuk159's pictures have covered the layouts at Hoyland pretty effectively, so I've tried to select a 'B' set from my snaps to be a little different.

I decided to go Saturday afternoon as Mrs 5050 was fully engaged in sorting herself out for a craft fair the next day - and was glad I did! I thought it was an excellent show with a wide variety of quality layouts.  MUCH better than some of the Barnsley shows I've been to in the past.

As my teachers used to say (occasionally) - 'Keep this up, Barnsley MRC!'

Great show well done Barnsley mrc good mix of layouts and good trade stands as well I went along with my 3 year old and he really enjoyed it his favourite layout was Jackson bridge because they were letting him press buttons and sound horns on the engines great people and just what you need people like them to get kids interested in the hobby .

But overall a good show a lot better than previous years I hope they stay with the new venue and as said above same again next year
