Isambard Kingdom Brunel
I am building a 14xx High Levle Chassis, due to being very heavy handed fitting pinions into the supplied gearbox I bent it. Chris from High Level has kindly supplied me with a replacement in the form of a Roadrunner +. On the 14xx gearbox there was a spacer to hold the stage 1 in position, here I have nothing. I have 2 gears to fit, stage 1 and 2. If I were to get some Brass tube with internal diameter of 2mm, could I cut that and use it to hold the gears in the correct position? benachie
Yes. You'd have to get the length by trial an error but it's not very critical. Alan

Alan Thanks assembled the box this morning, after letting it soak in Washing Soda and rinse overnight. Looks like I will need a "washer" on the first stage of about 3-4mm. The second stage only requires 1mm to keep it in place and I have a washer which will deal with that. I shall pop into my model shop and see what they have
