RMweb Premium ColinK Posted November 6, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 6, 2013 No, I had a garden railway (G-Scale) and a reverse loop was a vital part of the track plan. I had no problems with it in 10 years of operation. To help answer your query, do you use DC or DCC control? If your not sure, what is your contoller? A rough track plan would help too. RMweb Gold SHMD Posted November 6, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 6, 2013 Hi Bosswasp and welcome, A reversing loop is not really a problem and can easily be handled. Either with switches, relays or electronics. What you can't do is nothing! What you must realise from the start is that the rails swap over and thus short out to each other! The link above should answer all your questions. If not, then I would suggest searching/and then posting I 'electrics none dcc'. Enjoy your stay in RMweb land where there is lots of help, loads of talent - but most of all - we appreciate photo's! Kev.
