Thought I would share my progress on my small quay based plan.

So far I have made 6 scratch-built buildings and a harbour wall.

Its all good fun and I'm enjoying the whole build.

A slightly more broad shot of the Quayside.

Showing a nice flat area for a well thought out trackplan.

And more Nautical features. Such as a pub "the water front pub"

I'm really hoping the PVA will dry convincingly!

A layer of brown on the bottom to represent silt and sand.

 

Hopefully I can out together some demo's and how-to's for anyone thats interested.

Was thinking of adding tyres suspended half way down the quay to 'protect' any bobbing fishing boats.

Whilst im waiting for the water to dry "PVA" I made a start on the rock faces and got rid of the low releif factory.

Using a big cheap bucket of filla from local hardware store, I gave the rock faces a sharp look, and once dried can be painted accordingly.

I'll use DAS clay for the 'hardstanding' track area and scribe cobbles into it once its also dry.

Then paint/weather to make it look like a slippery uneven Quayside.
