Hughes Junction Slides

I have recently purchased a small number of 35mm slides which have no info on them, except for a sticker which has "Hughes Junction" printed on it.

 

Does anyone know anything about this image collection organisation, if indeed that is what it is?

 

I asked this question on the LNER Encyclopedia site, but with no success so far. The images do appear to have a ER Steam bias, and I wondered if there were many more out there somewhere?

That was a link, but it seems to have embedded the actual set on the page.

Hughes Junction slides were issued by Peter Hughes, a photographer from the Sheffield area.  Some were subsequently reissued by Colour-Rail.

I must admit that I had never heard of them. I take it from that, that maybe Colour-Rail bought the collection?

 

I will remove them if there are copyright problems.

Slightly OT, but I was in the IA bookshop at Waterloo the other day. A new book on the shelf from Colour Rail; bottom line is they are ceasing production of slide copies as they can no longer get film.
