Kestrel Quayside.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on a new layout.

I built the baseboard in an hour. 4ft x 14" all-in fiddleyard.

The Quayside is inspired by many local harbours here in Cornwall. With a big fishing industry and brewery keg market it seemed fitting and appropriate for a designated railway.

I've managed to build a peco loco body kit and painted, needs a farish chassis. Also scratchbuilt 2 wagons from plasticard (I forget which thou')

I've always fancied some free-lance railway modelling as 'conventional' scales tend to bore me with the rivet counting. Where as thia project I've embarked on I can just worry about it 'looking good to me'

I'll attach some brighter pictures in the morning.

And also more developments on the water. Will buy some woodland scenics stuff.

Thats all for now

Cheers

Thanks for the comment. I've just finished cutting the track to size and made a run-round loop so trains can deliver goods, run round its wagons and head back into the fiddle yard.

I got nyself a Roco shunter with a few coal tipplers.

And made a start on detailing the cliff faces, more of a Quarray look which im pleased with.

Need to buy some more DAS clay for the track surface once im happy with the track positioning.

Cheers

Bit more progress today... really pleased with how its turning out.

Once the fila is dry it can be dressed and painted. And more work to be done on the fiddle yard.

Cassettes will be used, something ive never done before.

Cheers

Jack
