RJdeVries
Hello, I'm having a few questions about re-programming a Zimo MX644D sound decoder. The decoder is loaded with the V2.0 sound for the Class 37 by Paul Chetter. I've bought it a while ago at Digitrains and it does the job in my 37 like a charm. The interior workings of the 37 have been completely replaced by a few home build pcb's and a seperate 21 pin connector (by ESU) This way the lights could all be switched by the decoder instead of the switches on the bottom of the fuel tanks, those had to go because of the speaker. Now, there is one free slot for the cab-lights or rear-lights under F8. Since I've made my own pcb the rear-lights are under F8 via Fa1 and Fa2. The cab-lights are operated via Fa3 and Fa4 and currently operated via F7. This had me putting the volume of the "toot" down to 1 so it isn't heard. But I would actually like it to be on F20, It's a free key and allows me to use all the sounds and lights separatly. It has to be directional if possible. Could anyone supply me with the Cv and value to program, I've searched high and low and read the manual several times but it seems that it doesn't want to be found. Many thanks! Greetings, Robbert Jan.
pauliebanger
It would be easier to raise the volume of the toot on F7 and programme the cab lights to F20 CV430 = 20CV432 = 3CV434 = 4 I assume you have CV127= 1 and CV128 = 2 to make them directional? (adding 60 to these values will turn off cab lights when in motion). Paul Edited to correct CV value typo

There have been several versions since V2, with new sounds and much more controllability. Massive improvements which are well worth getting. PM me for more info Paul
RJdeVries
Thanks for the reply, It on its own is very helpful, I've also send a PM. The decoder is currently not in use, I've just bought a new 37 on ebay to put it into. Greetings, Robbert Jan.
