70E
In an effort to modify and backdate the NRM Scotsman which I thought would be fairly easy by replacing the chimney I now realise I need to get some additional hand rail knobs and wire handrail for the section where the smoke deflectors were. I bought a spare body thinking the ones on it would be the same size but the ones on the NRM version are much smaller and finer respectively. Does anyone know what size they would be and where I might get replacements. I have scoured the web and the Hornby ones on ebay seem to be the chunky version are there any Gibson, Markits etc that would suit? Many thanks
micklner
I use short Gibson on mine, you will need to drill mounting holes in the smokebox front as well.
hallmodelspares
The chunky versions you might of seen on ebay for sale of the handrail knobs are most likely to be for a Margate English made model (Tender Drive) rather than a China super Detail A3 loco drive
