Leadmill
I really hope Hornby or more likely a 3rd party retailer commission a Defense Logisitics Organisation livery for the Sentinel or Class 1.

GregusGWR
It's a terrific idea for a layout corner or bigger. I have a model military vehicle fleet with tank transporters made with 'Base' models Leyland 6whl chassis and Thorneycroft cab and handmade gooseneck trailers. Trouble is I have modern & WW2 Allied & Axis vehicles. You can't go past a Tiger or a Saladin!

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted October 30, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) Over the weekend I obtained three military 00 scale models. Two, A Sultan ACV and a FV432 APC are from a company called 'Combat Ready' and are one piece solid resin castings including tracks, at £5 each will make good loads for Warwells. The other is a diecast Saxon APC from Tiny of Hong Kong. This is finished in UN white livery with all markings, an excellent model if a bit pricy at £21. Leadmill
The layout itself has been taken up for now due to pending house move, so in the interim I may try and put together a small yard diorama. Ideas are welcome, although my skill at modelling is middling at best so I cannot promise amazing results!
Model Railway Noob
Been working on a project for the corner of a layout my Dad is building. After seeing an article in Model Rail a few years back and some more information occassionally turning up in more recent issues I decided to have a go at turning a disused corner of the layout into a bustling MOD yard. First part of the project is the vehicles I had in mind. I don't have a definitive fixed time period but aiming for late 80's to late 90's which gives me some scope. I apologise in advance for the quality of construction and painting. What I lack in skill I make up for in enthusiasm! Some WIP of the yard Still lots to do. i need some proper Warwells and Warflats. Lowmacs are a temporary stand-in. Had real troube with the Genesis kit and I am not sure I have the skill to put together/paint a WBF kit. I have a Thomas Hill Steeleman currently being worked on, and i'm very tempted to repaint one of Hornbys new Sentinels. The vehicles look great. I used to drive those ambulances and travel in the lorries 1989-1993

The army also used the Wickham trolley as modelled by Bachmann. The one in yellow with the striped ends only needs the sides painting in army green.

Leadmill
Not forgotten about the layout, since the old one has now been disassembled I currently planning a new diorama/smaller layout using AnyRail software. Plus a visit to Hatton's tomorrow!

Only available in certain shops Hi Robin, Yes - Ltd edition confirmed. However, as I said, Cheltenham did have some of these available at Glasgow and he was describing them as ex set - hence my commenting in this way. It's typically the sort of thing he buys up from other dealers/traders. Thanks Phil H 1
