locofan
I've recently purchased a board from White Rose Modelworks and am happy with it although I've one query. When fitting Peco PL10E point motors with extended pin, can I fit them to the polystyrene layer or do I need to cut away some of the polystyrene and fit the motors to the board direct? I've a feeling it's the latter. Cameron
Gordon A
You will need to fit the point motor to the plywood. If you fit it to the foam you may find the point motor will move and your points wont. Gordon A Bristol
muddys-blues
Hello locofan, I have White Rose baseboards, if you have a circular hole saw, cut it in gently just till you touch the plywood, this gives a nice neat finish to the polystyrene inlay, and the pilot drill makes the hole in the plywood for the point motor pin, then just scrape away the circular waste of polystyrene from the underside of the plywood. Hope this helps Craig,.
