Portable layout

Hi

 

I have a 6x4 foldable layout base being made for me

 

The idea is to take it with me in the back of the car when I visit dad so he can see the locos I am repairing for him run.

I hope to be able to have a 1st and 2nd rad run maybe with a diamond crossing linking?

A few sidings would be nice also.

So I was wondering if you chaps would like to give me some advice and ideas as I have never done this before?
