brian777999 Posted February 23, 2014 Share Posted February 23, 2014 When painting cast iron on a model stationary steam engine, should the cast iron be clean and bright ? The ''natural'' finish of cast iron is a black colour and I am not sure if I can paint the etch primer directly onto this or if I have to remove the black colour first.
