I believe that Dave Walker modelled the Midland BEL on his Cromford layout in 7mm.

This is a photo of BEL 1 as oriiginally biult as 1550 by MR with three windows like the North Staff BE, Does anypne know if the 1550 was rebiult in LMS days or BR days? ie  do i biuld a three window version or four window version

It goes together very well and was designed by Robin Arkinstall of Impetus fame. There are a few tweaks required but the pics available from the RCTS are invaluable. I've almost finished mine which is dual track/radio control and it has been a delight to build.

Good find with the MR 1550 photograph. I built the Recreation 21 3D print version in later BR days. Not much to do to the print apart from adding some extra details.
