Gremlin Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I have two locomotives, both Poole built, and they both exhibit the same characteristic - the valve slide drops/falls out and the mechanism freezes. Dr Al Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Not really a widespread problem - is the cylinder block seated correctly (if it's too far forward this could cause the issue you describe), and is it intact (are both slide bars on both sides present). If the slide bars aren't (they can get broken off) then you need a new cylinder block - this can be got for a few £ from BR Lines. HTH,Alan Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gremlin Posted March 27, 2014 Author Share Posted March 27, 2014 Cylinder blocks are intact and seated as far back as I can make them go - and the remainder of the chassis is as far forward as I can make it go.
