ROYAL MAIL PRICE INCREASES 31ST MARCH 2014

For  info  Royal Mails Prices  increase*  next Monday 31/3/2014  *some prices decrease!

 

Just a couple of  examples:

 

Probaly the most  common item used by sellers on Classifieds  the Small Parcel 2nd  class  up to 1 KG goes from £2.60  to £2.80 unsigned 

 

A First class  small parcel  signed  for  up to 1KG  increases  from  £4.10   to  £4.30

 

 

A small   parcel  from  1  to 2 KG  decreases  by  15P both signed & unsigned.

 

A first  class letter  standard  rate  increses  by 2p to 62p  ( thats  nearly  12shillings  and sixpence in old money!!)  whilst  2nd  class goes  from 50p to 53p!

 

There  are  many increases  and  just  a  few  decreases, post offices  should  have  a  hard copy  booklet available  from  yesterday.

Wouldn't mind if the service was good - we're lucky if we get our post by 2pm during the week and last Christmas many of us down the road didn't receive any mail at all, it was nicked or dumped somewhere.

Personally  we  dont  have   many problems  with  out postal  service,  most  of  the  1st  class  and some  of  the  2nd  class items  I post  do  arrive   with  the  recipient  the  next  next  day,  As  far  as  my deliveries are concerned they do arrive  at  various  times of  the  morning,  Todays  post  arrived  at  9-00AM  and  yestertday it  arrived  around 10-00  including   a  delivery  from  Hattons.

 

If  you  are  experiencing   problems  with  your  mail deliveries  make a  complaint, let  them  know  of  your  disatisfaction and  things  may  improve.
