Stobart Ben Posted March 29, 2014 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Started to plan out my new layout in 00, already built the baseboard and its 50 x 100cm. Ideally I'd like to have 3 sidings in the depot, one leading into a large workshop area for vehicle, train and wagon maintenance, a line leading to a loading area with ramp for transporting plant and materials for track maintenance and a line leading to a joint fuelling area for trains and road vehicles. The depot will also have portakabins, vehicle parking areas, offices and materials storage areas. Only got rough sketches at the moment as I can't seem to get my track planning software to work but I will upload pictures when I get some progress. I've now extended it to 100 x 100cm to allow more room and still have the possibility to extend further. Hopefully should have some progress shots next week of the board and a couple of 60s and a 92 i want to repaint into stobart colours. Slight update (sorry its been a while, been busy changing jobs) The depots now changed as stobart rail cab decals are impossible to find! narrowed the choice down to Allelys, Cadzow or Leicester providing i can find decals or have them made up (leaning more to Allelys). The boards also changed to a reverse L shape now with both boards measuring 100 x 37cm. Waiting to get track at the moment so started to rough out the new plan on the boards and start to build up the road fleet.
