Pobrien
I have records for 1964 in the Bristol area, which are relevant to your study. 7005 was almost certainly on loan to Swindon, specifically to work the 2B46/2B25 Swindon to Weston train, which ran during the months of July and August, Monday to Friday. It was on this train on August 5, 6, 10-14, 25,26, and so was probably on loan for August. In July the main engine on this train was 7907, on loan from Barrow Road Bristol. It certainly had an 82C plate as can be seen in the two photographs below https://www.flickr.com/photos/55350440@N06/7815907238/in/photolist-cUEyVm-fxwTdu-e7sR8q-7LEWpS-aaLdos-bnuhKf-bz3kS6-dzuDyz-ar8vQA-8CUhxZ https://www.flickr.com/photos/96859208@N07/9545831776/in/photolist-fxwTdu-e7sR8q-7LEWpS-aaLdos-bnuhKf-bz3kS6-dzuDyz-ar8vQA-8CUhxZ The first of these shows the train leaving Platform 4 at Temple Meads, the second shows the engine going LE to Weston at about 16.00 for the return working. It was noted on Gloucester Horton Road on Thursday September 3 https://www.flickr.com/photos/60631240@N02/5536528881/in/photolist-9rfa9v-dbzMZK-cUEyVm-fxwTdu-e7sR8q-7LEWpS-aaLdos-bnuhKf-bz3kS6-dzuDyz-ar8vQA-8CUhxZ As you say it was on a special freight from Stoke Gifford to OOC on September 8, by which time it may have been officially withdrawn. 7022 was transferred to Gloucester during the period Sept 1-October 5 according to RO November 1964. During that Summer, when presumably it was still allocated to Worcester, it worked Sunday July 19 1V53 1.40 Crewe to Bristol (from Wolverhampton) then a Banana Special from Avonmouth to OOC Monday July 20 another Banana Special from Avonmouth to OOC It worked the Swindon to Weston turn 2B46/2B25 on August 20/27/28, the last date being the final working with steam. Here it is on Barrow Road Shed waiting for departure LE to Weston on the penultimate day August 27 https://www.flickr.com/photos/bristolsteam/5400478727/in/photolist-fxFtLV-cCfxdu-cBx1Sf-bRiiqt-9mnVdK-66PLv7-9edSbc-911Ra2-dcHqJp-bWJFdg-dUwKNE-cw46Ju-af8soC-9c4LB2-hLGJhs-khPxFs-ci5kMd-dspnSe-9tkkhF-drWyWF-jxttgJ-aL4bZP and at Bristol Temple Meads waiting to depart on the last day to Swindon https://www.flickr.com/photos/bristolsteam/8175071245/in/photolist-fxFtLV-cCfxdu-cBx1Sf-bRiiqt-9mnVdK-66PLv7-9edSbc-911Ra2-dcHqJp-bWJFdg-dUwKNE-cw46Ju-af8soC-9c4LB2-hLGJhs-khPxFs-ci5kMd-dspnSe-9tkkhF-drWyWF-jxttgJ-aL4bZP 5054 worked 4H60 21.30 Temple Meads freight Yard-Worcester on Friday June 26 and the 13.44 freight to Margam on Tuesday September 8. It was on Barrow Road on Saturday September 12 It was officially transferred to Gloucester with 7022, probably at the beginning of the Winter Timetable, but was withdrawn as you say from Worcester. I have no records of 7025 during this period.

Pobrien
Hi Phil The photo of 7005 at Gloucester Horton Road was posted by my friend John Freeth on Flickr. Incidentally he has some photos of Worcester Shed dating to 1963 on his Flickr site. The colour photo of 7005 is on Flickr posted by KDH Archive. The others were taken either by myself or David Nicholas with his camera on my Flickr site (trafalgar45682). What I also have which may be of interest to the Miac website is a fairly detailed list of steam workings on Paddington-Worcester-Paddington trains between September 19 and November 1, 1963, after official dieselisation. If anyone in your group is interested they can contact me on Patrick.obrien@gmx.co.uk Good luck with your project Patrick O'Brien
