70E
I bought the above(D3619) from new over a year or so ago, fitted a decoder, tested and put it into storage. Put it on the layout today only one cab light works, all other lights work OK, I thought F2 wouldd o it but no joy. Cant remember if it worked before. Before I take it apart do both ends have cab lights or one end only? If both, I guess I may be looking for a loose connection or something else? tender
From what I remember the cab lights are independently wired to two function outputs. So depending on what decoder you have you have to fiddle with some CV settings to get the function table set up to switch them on. I've done mine so they operate like the direction lights. i.e. only one cab light in the direction of travel. If you want the details i'll see if i can find them when I get home. Ray. Adrian Wintle
Did you fit a 4-function decoder? If the above description is correct, you would need 2 functions for head and tail lights (controlled by F0) and one for each of the cab lights (F1 and F2). 70E
Hi Tender Thank you for the quick response, I think Adrian may have cracked it? It looks like I fitted a Bachmann 3 function 21 pin decoder so have popped a 4 function one in and try it tomorrow. Will let you know.
SRman
The four function decoder should do the trick. You should find that F1 and F2 work the cab lights after that.
