tamperman36
I have often noticed layouts featuring industrial buildings with lorries parked up or supposing to be unloaded however there are only a couple of HO model forklifts available on the market. I have never seen a sideloader model yet. Would anyone else be interested in a some sideloader and forklift kits if we could get some designed possibly in etched brass or cast resin? Fat Controller
Smaller types are available from S-Kits and Base Models. The latter is claimed to be a 'Lincoln Shakleton', which sounds like an early-1950s bomber, and comes with/ without safety cage. If you're after something a bit heavier, then Kibri do a plastic kit of a Kalmar one, which is chunky enough to pass in 00. Haven't seen any side-loaders, but they're a lot more specialised, and restricted in their use, so I'm not surprised.

The "Lincoln Shackleton" referred to is not the forklift, but the haulage company to which the lorry belongs. Oxford Diecast have announced an S&D Freightlifter fork truck in the double-cabbed British Railways version for release in 2016.
dinkyme
Sideloader's seem too always be in use at most builders/timber yards now-days, yes a model would be nice. Also need lorry with dropsides and crane with brick grab as used by company's like Travis Perkins/Jewson.
