sub39h
Hi guys, I've just bought a Heljan Class 58 for a reasonable-ish price. It is the triple grey one with the Mainline logo on it. I model BR sector era, so the Mainline logos need to go. I know T-Cut is the recommended product for removing logos etc, but the logo flows into the recesses I'm worried about going through the paint whilst trying to remove it from these areas. is there any tips or tricks to avoid damaging the paintwork when removing logos from the recesses? Thanks
royaloak
I use metal polish (Tcut will work as well) on a cocktail stick, it isnt quick but you only remove the absolute minimum. I leave a stick soaking in T cut so that it soaks into it.
YesTor
Same method - cocktail stick dipped in T-Cut. It takes a while and you feel like you aren't getting anywhere then suddenly it will all begin to fade away. And in my various trials and errors with logo removal it's the safest method I've found to date that is less likely to remove the paint underneath.
