Trix wagonmaster tank

Recommended Posts

I have seen these advertised for sale, and was wondering if anybody has pictures/photos of these wagons? Are they related to the old airfix tank wagon? What prototype are they modelled on and how accurate?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer a curious mind.

There are lots of spurious pictures on the Google image page. The wagon actually looks like this.

It comes in several livery variations.

(Select 'Trix Models' and then 'wagons'.)

All the Trix wagon chassis and carriage bogies (Commonwealth which were not then available elsewhere) were made of this nylon-based plastic. Very free running indeed and way ahead of its rivals. Such a shame that they used a peculiar hybrid scale.
